The Pohutakawa House is on a challenging small site but one with stunning aspect and coastal views. This weekend dwelling was designed for use by 2 families at one time, and the layout is configured to enable both privacy and coming together for meals and socialising. The dwelling is oriented to maximise views to the sea and maximise flow to the outdoor areas on the coastal side of the site. The touches of red in the facade are inspired by the magnificent trees which flank this coastal home.
